Post 3: Online Social Networks For Gamers

Now gaming has been big part of my live since middle school. It was the place to hang out due to the inability to drive. It was where you could talk to friends who moved out of state. And then we even made friends from outside of the country. But when it came to gaming there where to major sects. Some even saw it as the Bloods and Crips of gaming. Thats right, I'm talking about the Xbox Live community vs the PlayStation Network community. Now when I say these two names I'm not referring to the consoles that where used to play the games, but rather the networking that would allow you play and talk with friends.      When it comes to the games we can play anyone we want for a fee of course. But there are some perks to having this online service. Because it is a paid service they want to keep our business so both of these companies do one of the best things in the eyes of a gamer. They give away games! they give two games away for free every month. And ...

Post 2: Graphic Design Blogger.

For my blog post I read the blog of David Airey. David is a Graphic design artist who writes a lot of inspiring things about the working in the field. One of his posts I read was about Pablo Picasso. In it it said that Picasso was once asked by a woman to sketch her portrait. Picasso agreed and it took him about five mins in one pencil stroke. I hope that it will make me more excited to be in my major studies, and tha...

Hi! My name is Tyree and I'm currently finishing my associates of arts. And once I finish this degree I will transfer out to pursue my BFA in graphic design. I would like to pursue graphic design because I enjoy looking at and creating logos. I like looking at the details of how a product presents itself, and I think its something that we subconsciously keep with us. Such as the Coca-Cola logo, we can instinctively recall those cursive letters on the side of a can. And another fun part of logos is when they use the gestalt principles. These principles are what a lot of designers use in their work, and a lot of times it allows them to add subliminal messages in them. This can be seen in the logos such as the FedEx logo which has an arrow in it.     What I see myself doing is still a little unclear. I have a lot of different ideas where id like to take my career such as logo designer, magazine designer, or even owning a brand. I do know however once I t...
