Post 6: Using Canva

This assignment was quite interesting. Creating an infographic wasn't what I expected to do when signing up for this class. I thought it was going to be just a bunch of facts we have to learn so I'm happy this class isn't just a cut and dry learn the material class. Using Canva was a pretty simple drag and drop website. Type what one is looking for and place it where it should go. The only problem I had with that website was how to get the same font when making a new text field. It wasn't allowing me to search the font however, I figured out if I just copied and pasted another piece of text it fix this problem. During this process I learned that infographics isn't quite the speciality of graphic deign I'm interested in, but it was still a fun assignment.

When looking for other websites that I could create infographics with I came across two that stood out for me. The first can me found at https://venngage.com. Venngage had the same feel as Canva however, it seemed a little more user friendly. If I had to choose between them I don't think it would really matter the choice because the both seem like the offer the same thing.

Now for the second website I found https://infogram.com. This website was stunning. The program reminded me of Adobe, and it had a sleek interface with all the tools. And what was really cool was with only sitting on the page a tab popped up and it was a customer support widget saying if I needed and help use this messaging system. I think if this project will be assigned in later courses this website should be given a look because it looks as if it was built very well.
