Post 10: The Future

     What I see for my future is continuing my path of graphic design. After this semester ends I will have obtained my Associates of Arts, and with that I will hopefully transfer to Scad. Once at Scad I will start applying for internships with in the art field, one of them being at Turner Broadcasting under the Cartoon Network division. At Scad I plan to get my BFA of graphic design. And if working at Cartoon Network doesn't play out I would like to either work freelance, work for a brand company, or start my own brand. My future self hasn't really been finalized, and being that I want to make some type of art I have many different roads that I want to go down so I just have to figure out how many of them can coexist.

     Unfortunately, I do not see myself blogging in the future unless it is for another assignment. I have blogged before in an literature class, but its just not something I care for doing. However though blogging isn't my cup of tea, I must say that I have thoroughly enjoyed this class. Absolutely no complaints. Id like to thank Professor Rigole for making this class informational in the most fun way possible. Most online classes I have been in, have been very cut and dry as in here is the information learn it and regurgitate it back to the professor, but this class was very interactive and the assignments were ACTUALLY enjoyable. I feel as if Professor Rigole actually cares about his students learning and having fun while doing it, which actually made me want to learn. I have already been bragging to my friends about this class, and recommending it to other classmates. So thank you very much professor!

Post 8: Using Code Academy

     While using Code Academy I found it to be a very well made tool for kids or adults to use if they were interested in coding. I think if I had this website growing up in my early teens I would have loved learning about it, but now after trying multiple times of trying to code I know it's just not for me. Ive also tried using Dreamweaver before, and there is just something about it that doesn't bring me any joy out of it. I think it has to do with that I can't see the progress by just looking at lines of code. I like art because I can see what I'm drawing what needs to be fixed, and the adjustments are different when it comes to drawing than coding.      Would I use it to learn other coding languages? Post 4: Midterm

     When doing this project I decided to do module three because it was over what i was most familiar with. Using the program, Blackboard Ultra, I only had one difficulty, which was getting the power point to load into the share file program. For some reason as a power point file it wasn't loading up, but once i saved it as a PDF it went through fine. Other than that it's a pretty simple program. The only thing that was hard about this midterm was presenting the material. I've never taken a speech class so it really isn't my forte. I've given speeches before such as at my high school graduation, but when i have to be serious and talk in front of people i tend to freeze up. All in all I did prefer this rather than taking a test so thanks for that!

Post 1: Art Major

     Hi! My name is Tyree and I'm currently finishing my associates of arts. And once I finish this degree I will transfer out to pursue my BFA in graphic design. I would like to pursue graphic design because I enjoy looking at and creating logos. I like looking at the details of how a product presents itself, and I think its something that we subconsciously keep with us. Such as the Coca-Cola logo, we can instinctively recall those cursive letters on the side of a can. And another fun part of logos is when they use the gestalt principles. These principles are what a lot of designers use in their work, and a lot of times it allows them to add subliminal messages in them.
